Andrea is a native New Mexican, from Roswell. She spent her collegiate years in Texas receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Keyboard Performance from McMurry University in Abilene and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from Texas Tech. While in college, she sung in a variety of ensembles; and at Texas Tech, she served as assistant conductor for The Lubbock Chorale and The Texas Tech University Choir.

Along with Coro de Cámara, she is a member of The New Mexico Symphony Orchestra Chorus, and also sings with the Santa Fe Desert Chorale.
