Raised
in Washington, DC, Vermont, and Germany, Judy
has been singing regularly since the early elementary
grades. She’s worked in little
theater; been part of church choirs, school, and
community choruses; sung solos and with a trio;
and helped found an extra-curricular madrigal group
in high school. Judy joined Coro in 1991, looking
forward to Thursday night rehearsals, for “sanity”.
A teacher and librarian by training, Judy spent
32 years with the Los Alamos Public Schools. Flunking
retirement, she now keeps her hand in at UNM-LA,
tutoring English and mathematics and teaching Information
Literacy (part time).
When not working or volunteering at her church,
the local schools, and with the local library Friends,
Judy spends her time reading, quilting and needlepointing,
gardening, home remodeling and traveling. She and
her husband, Don, especially enjoy visiting their
son, James, who works in Denver. |
